Our Mission
GreenAllies is a youth-powered movement putting students at the center of change. We envision a world where students are not only seen as leaders, but are empowered to drive real change. Where communities grow stronger through youth-led action, shared purpose, and environmental stewardship.

GreenAllies has received
Pennsylvania’s Outstanding Environmental Education Program
from the PA Association of Environmental Educators. We are excited and honored to be recognized for all the hard work of the student members of GreenAllies. The award “recognizes an exemplary or innovative environmental education program that could serve as a model of excellence for educators throughout the Commonwealth of PA”
The Governor’s Award for Environmental Excellence
The GreenAllies organization was honored with 2025 Pennsylvania Governor’s Award for Environmental Excellence in recognition of the Althouse Arboretum and its programs. Presented annually by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), this prestigious honor recognizes outstanding projects across Pennsylvania that promote environmental stewardship.The award embodies “the innovative thinking needed to protect our environment and shape a more sustainable future,”

MOST EVERYTHING IS $5. They are up along the trail just beyond the kiosk. It is open all day, every day and is self-serve. Cash ONLY so bring your $$$! (Please use the money box AT the greenhouse)

A NEW building at the Althouse Arboretum?
This student-designed classroom building will be the foundation to our programming at the Althouse Arboretum. Congratulations student leaders for all your hard work, and a SPECIAL THANK YOU to all the amazing community members/businesses that have made this possible!!!
Hilsee Award Winners! Congratulations to all our departing seniors who have met the requirements of more than 50 hours of service and has led at least one major program.
Leadership Team members tabled outside of the Kimberton Whole Foods store. This month’s “Round Up at the Register” benefited GreenAllies. The store raised just over $2,000 in round-ups… and then matched it so GreenAllies will receive just over $4,000! Thank you Kimberton Whole Foods!
Althouse Arboretum
A student-run outdoor activity and education center located at our headquarters in Pottstown, PA. It is the model for how students promote sustainability in their community by empowering students to be the leaders.
